Yoga therapy is a complementary medical method that combines the ancient knowledge of yoga with modern findings from medicine and psychology.

Complaints are not considered in isolation, but in connection with lifestyle, breathing, posture and mental alignment. The central idea is that every person has the ability to heal – yoga therapy helps to activate these resources. A key principle is mindfulness: conscious awareness and perception are prerequisites for initiating change.

Number of participants: 4 people
Target group: People with back pain who want to use yoga therapy to improve their well-being or alleviate their pain.

Duration: 9 sessions/lessons of 60 minutes each.
The first session/medical history takes approximately 75 minutes and will be arranged and carried out individually before the start of the course.

In the physical area, yoga therapy uses a variety of classic yoga exercises that are carefully selected and adapted. Unlike performance-oriented fitness programs, the focus here is not on external form, but on the inner experience. Movements are performed slowly and consciously, often in conjunction with the breath.

Upright through life - achieving lightness and balance with yoga

A central concern is to recognize and gently change unfavourable posture patterns. Many people suffer from tension in the neck and back area, which is exacerbated by sedentary activities or stress. Specific exercise sequences can provide relief here by stretching muscles, mobilizing joints and stimulating the flow of energy. The exercises also help you to become more aware of your posture in everyday life and improve it in the long term.

My yoga (Viniyoga) courses, individual yoga lessons and yoga therapies are tailored to your constitution and current condition. They are intended as a supplement to medical treatment, but do not replace it. If you have serious health problems, please consult your family doctor or specialist.

All yoga (Viniyoga) courses, individual yoga lessons and yoga therapies are held in German.
Yoga classes and yoga therapies can also be held in English. Yoga beginners are very welcome, no previous experience is required. All offers are aimed at adults aged 16 and over.

Please bring comfortable clothes (gym clothes), socks and a towel. Yoga mats are available. If you have your own yoga mat, you can bring it with you.
